Plein Air view

This is the scene that I enjoyed painting in Woodbine.

PleinAir Painting

I joined Mary O and fellow painters at her plantation in Woodbine to enjoy an afternoon of painting and her hospitality. The scene was peaceful and yet the Spanish moss was flying in the wind gusts over the marsh inlets.

Screech Owl

I enjoyed a visit to Jekyll Island for the annual Shrimp and Grits Festival. The exhibit of birds of prey was fascinating, and this little Screech Owl was on tour, and allowed his tail feathers to be patted!

Summer's End

The summer season is ending. I painted this watercolor during this season in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. Everyone is enjoying the last warm ocean water on the beach, and fun on boating before time to haul out the boats for winter months and restoration. It is a special feeling of fall coming, but also thoughts of the winter ahead...nostalgia.
